This Privacy Policy explains how POLUSON: Sleep Sounds (“POLUSON”, “the app”) handles information when you use the Android application. POLUSON does not require you to create an account.
1. Information processed by the app
POLUSON uses third-party services for analytics, crash reporting and rewarded advertising. Depending on the service, device, region and your advertising privacy choice, these services may process information such as:
- approximate location, for example location inferred from an IP address;
- device, advertising, installation or other identifiers;
- app activity, including interactions with the app or an advertisement and app usage information;
- diagnostic and performance information, including crash reports, stack traces, device/app metadata, session information and related technical data.
POLUSON does not ask you to provide a name, phone number or account credentials to use the app. The app does not require precise GPS location for its core sound features.
2. Firebase
POLUSON uses Google Firebase services, including Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These services help us understand how the app is used, measure app interactions, diagnose crashes and improve reliability. Firebase may process app-instance or installation identifiers, app activity, device/app metadata, session information, crash information and related diagnostic data.
3. Rewarded advertising and Unity Ads
POLUSON uses Unity Ads to provide optional rewarded advertisements. Unity Ads may process approximate location, identifiers, ad interactions, app activity and diagnostic or technical information for purposes that can include delivering ads, analytics, app functionality, fraud prevention, security and compliance.
Where the app presents an advertising privacy choice, you can choose personalized advertising or continue with contextual (non-personalized) advertising. POLUSON sends that choice to Unity Ads. Choosing contextual advertising does not necessarily stop all data processing required to deliver, measure, secure or prevent fraud in advertising.
You can revisit the Unity advertising preference from the app’s Settings where that option is available.
4. Why information is used
Information described above may be used to operate app features, understand app usage, diagnose and fix errors, measure performance, provide and measure advertising, and protect advertising and app services against fraud, abuse and security threats.
5. Sharing and service providers
Data may be transmitted to service providers that process it in connection with services used by POLUSON. The principal third-party providers currently used for these purposes are Google (Firebase) and Unity (Unity Ads). Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy terms and policies.
6. Data stored on your device
POLUSON stores certain settings and app state locally on your device, such as saved preferences and mixes. You can remove locally stored app data by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
7. Retention and deletion
POLUSON does not maintain user accounts or an account database. Locally stored data remains on your device until it is removed through the app or Android, the app’s storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled, as applicable.
Information processed by Firebase and Unity is retained according to the applicable service configuration and provider retention practices. POLUSON does not provide an in-app account-deletion mechanism because the app does not create user accounts. For privacy questions, you may contact us using the address below.
8. Security
POLUSON uses services that transmit collected data over encrypted network connections. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children
POLUSON is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its third-party services or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
